Longtime Friends Open First "Topless Male" Bar In Carrollton, Ohio

Lifelong Friends, Joshua Ledford and Chris Gamble have always had a dream to one day open a bar. "My passion with alcohol started when I was about twelve", Chris revels. Likewise, Joshua has always been drawn to the nightlife and club scene. Joshua states, "For me, life has always been about waking up, drinking beer and meeting pretty girls. So now my career will follow my heart".

In September of 2016, after a night of drinking, throwing darts and hitting on local women, Chris and Joshua decided to open a bar that fits the lifestyle they have both become accustomed too, so they wrote down their ideas, hopes and dreams on a napkin. "Well, I am the smart one, and he's the good looking one", says Joshua, "so I do the thinking, and he tried to stir up investors".

But, after many sales pitches, backroom brawls and many, many drunken nights, they couldn't seem to bring their dream into reality. But that all changed back in March of 2017, as Joshua came into some money. "So, there I was, just minding my own business, when i saw a car speeding by, and a bag was thrown from the window. I walked over to it, opened it up, and BAM...there was about $200,000 sitting in front of me. I knew it was fate".

There where also reports of a large amount of marijuana in that same bag, but Joshua denies ever finding that.

Soon after, the two friends found a location in the small town of Carrollton, and decided on a name, 'Our Place'. Like most new businesses, things started off a bit slow. Chris recalls, "We didn't have many people stopping in, and we didn't really know how to draw in folks, as we both only really have a 8th grade education. But after a few out of town pipeline workers saw me taking out the trash with my shirt off, things really got interesting".

That's when they hit gold with the idea of 'Topless Male' servers. Overnight, they had transformed a struggling business into a cash cow. "We used to be in the red every night, by like a lot. But now, with Chris behind the bar and his shirt off, we're making more money than we've ever seen before" Joshua says. It seems the out of town workers can't get enough. And that's good news for the local loose women. "After Martha left", a saddened Chris recalls, "my life was upside down. But today I have money, and now it's a different girl every night!"

When asked about whether or not a 'Topless Male' bar was against their traditional, small town values, they both reply with a hardy laugh. "We've got money, we don't need values!" Chris exclaimed.

So, in closing, if you happen to be heading through Carrollton, and topless guys are your thing, stop in and say hello to Joshua and Chris.

    whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
