Last Saturday when Ohio State and Penn State played, John Spiller (aka Austin Spiller) 18 of Ripley, Ohio was cheering for his team Ohio State Buckeyes who played at Penn State's home turf. Little did he know that the City of Ripley came together to form a bet between Penn State and Ohio State fans that separated the members if the City leaders and if OSU lost then it will become illegal to be an OSU fan. Well, in the 4th quarter with five minutes left Penn State blocks a field goal that could've sealed the deal for Ohio State and ran the ball all the down for a Penn State Touchdown. Penn State held on and beat the Buckeyes 24-21. Well, long story short Austin went to leave for school on a normal day when out of no where Officials stormed into the classroom looking the Ohio teenager. Of course when they found Spiller they grabbed him, dragged him into the hallway and got very scared and a bit upset. The Officer then asked him if he was an OSU Fan and very confused Spiller responded with a 'yes'. After that Officials told him the new law and Spiller became infuriated and began punching and kicking the Officers which led to his arrest. He is held at Brown County jail and will serve a 10 year sentence at $6,000 bail. His friend who he called Brother Nathanael Lusk says "I kept telling him this was going to happen, he never listened to me. Hopefully, after his 10 years, he will then say Go Blue."

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
