Chicago's very own South Side resident Sean McDermott, also known as "Sport", has spoken out about the Chicago Cubs victory over the L.A. Dodgers this past Saturday night and his statement has shocked many.

McDermott stated with tears rolling down his face, "I am a die hard Chicago White Sox fan, but I'll have to give it to the Cubs for advancing to the World Series. They played their hearts out and deserve it more than anyone." McDermott then states, " I can't believe I am saying this, but I am hereby deeming myself an official Chicago Cubs fan. The Chicago Cubs need a fan like me, I have great qualities."

When our officials proceeded to ask McDermott what qualities he has to be the ultimate Cub fan, he responded with this statement, " Well, if I were to tell you all my qualities we would be here all night." At this moment our officials let out a slow "boo.."

After McDermott's poor attempt to make a joke, he proceeded with this statement, "For starters I'm a head manager at Walgreens, secondly I sing in the car with my brother every day, I never skip a day of singing with him. I also love to ask girls on dates and complain to my friends when it doesn't work out, which is every single time. I really love putting up sad statuses, and last but certainly not least my dads name is Keith, the most unattractive first name in the English language, and that's why I am the greatest fan for the Chicago Cubs."

We encouarage all super fans to join the newest super fan, Sean "Sport" McDermott, out side of Wrigley Field cheering on the Cubbies this week.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
