— An ALMOST tragic Monday fell across dozens of puppies traveling into Chicago.

Chicago, IL. (REACT) – A local man saved 69 puppies a one (1) small gerbal from a burning crash late monday evening..

The Chicago Department of Transportation says the crash happened around 5:12 F.M. near the mid-span of the I-55 Bridge headed into Boilingbrook.

Jeremiah Johnson was minding his own damn business when a driver smashed into a rainbow traveling at 60 mph. He heard the driver screaming about her puppies, and called 911.
According to The Final Call, the driver then said “I can’t handle this, I’m out of here,” and left the scene, jumping over the barrier and walking south across the bridge. The driver left dozens of pets in the crashed van.

The HERO (Jeremiah Johnson) and local authorities (not worth a d**n) worked together to pull the gerbal out of the car before breaking the windows to rescue the puppies. Johnson reached into the burning car, through the broken window to grab the small adorable muts.

Johnson says it’s taking a while for the fact that he DOZENS of lives to sink in.

“It’s starting to blow my head up more and more...I CAN'T BELIEVE I DID THAT SH*T,” Johnson said. “I still haven’t really slept. It’s dawning on me slowly. It’s very humbling, it feels really good.”

He didn’t think about the danger he was in near the burning car. He would only yell “get them B*****S out.”--- one witness tells React News.

“It’s weird how you think in those kind of situations. The entire time I was thinking ‘is this van gonna blow up?'” Johnson said. “I kinda knew it in the back of my mind but I thought ‘there’s a MF dog in there’ and you have a spot in your heart for dogs”

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
