Mother of 5 Arrested This Evening for the Murder of Three People

Brittany Rockette, a mother of five, was arrested this evening on the 300 block of William Bell Road in Lexington, NC. The police were called around 10:55 PM this evening due to horrific screaming coming from the Rockette home. When police arrived, they found a tragic scene. Brittany was waiting on the porch for the police to arrive. As an officer placed her in handcuffs, the remaining officers entered the home. Her five children were not present in the home at the time. Police found three murdered individuals in Brittany's home. They had been tortured and burned. The three individuals have not yet been identified. Police report that dental records will need to be used for identification of the victims. During her arrest, Brittany calmly told police she was tired of the three individuals mistreating her, disrespecting her, and going out of their way to make her feel less than. She went on to say how everything affected her children. This feud between Brittany and the three individuals went on for four long years before she says she finally had, had enough and something snapped. Police believe this is a classic case of people pushing a person to their breaking point, and the outcome is usually a tragedy.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
