On the 25th October a chartered flight from John Lennon Airport, Liverpool to Doncaster Robin Hood airport was mysteriously brought down. At present the emergency services are investigating. There is a sole witness to this great tragedy, however, the witness statement has not need verified.
Your local news agency, Wangers news, caught up Mr Rob Clubbe to hear his account of the story: "It was late Tuesday evening and I was sitting in my summer house watching an old repeat of The Magic Roundabout when I heard what sounded like Spitfire aeroplanes. Being an aviation enthusiast I raced to the house for my binoculars. What I saw was amazing. Three spitfires were being chased by a Boeing 737-800, this was clearly a dog fight and the Boeing was getting the upper hand. I tried to help the Spitfires by getting my sons toy gun but the shots would not reach the Boeing 737-800. I saw all three Spitfires fall from the sky, they crashed on the bowling green at Hexthorpe."
A close friend of Mr Clubbe who didn't want to be named (Terry Hill) told us that Mr Clubbe is often seen running around town making Spitfire noises.
Miraculously nobody was injured in this ordeal and the Boeing 737-800 landed safely. As for the Spitfires, Mr Clubbe is still looking for them and now believes it may be a cover up and they could be buried under the Hexthorpe bowling green which is what causes the bumps.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
