Three tons of high quality mulch was purchased on September 12th of this year. Joe & Sons mulch was in awe to have a deal this big. "The mulch industry has been in decline for years now." Says Joe of Joe & Sons Mulch. "We were in shock when an order of this magnitude came in and the payment being completed. We Were ready to deliver the mulch the next day." However, Joe could not reach the Merritt residence; when they called, there was no answer. "We were prepared to keep the mulch in one of our trucks until we were able to make contact." Which they did. They were even more shocked to hear that the Merritt's seemed to not know mulch was supposed to be delivered or who payed. On top of that, they didn't even want the $10,000 worth of mulch that was rightfully hers. "We have a policy here at Joe & Sons Mulch that if we attempt to make a delivery 3 times and the owner has said they refuse receipt of the item, we as a company may return the mulch for full dividends." No one may know who paid for the mulch or why Lisa Merritt wasn't informed that she was the owner of $10,000 worth of mulch, but one thing is for sure, the refusal of the mulch may very well have saved Joe & Sons Mulch for closing it's doors for good. "We had enough money put away to retire and since we were in declining any way we were actually about to close down. But now we can stay open a couple more years and go to Hawaii in our off time. I don't know who you are but thank you Lisa Merritt!" He said with a big grin on his face.

whale spotted in illinois river A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri. While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
